(In the Media- archived) Globe and Mail Journalist Reports on Life in the North

At the end of 2013, award winning writer Ian Brown and photojournalist Peter Power, from the Globe and Mail, visited the North Baffin Region of Canada’s Arctic to explore the realities of life in the North.  

“You’re literally dealing with a culture up here that’s evolving so quickly that it’s happening before our eyes.”

 

Their goal was to capture the true reflection of Inuit culture and tradition today, with Baffinland as a centre piece catalyst of economic development, highlighting some of the challenges the company faces as it gets the Mary River mine up and running amidst social, cultural and economic change.
