How can I search and apply for positions?

Job vacancies can be found on our Job Openings page. You can view all available positions or use the search function to filter jobs that suit your career interests. If you find a position you are interested in, click on the “Apply for this job online” link. You will be required to create a profile and upload your resume. After uploading your resume, you’ll be asked a few more questions to complete your profile. Click “Submit”, and your application will be sent to our Human Resources team. Please note that there are separate job postings for positions in Oakville and Nunavut.

How do I know if I’ve successfully applied for a job?

As soon as you create a candidate profile and click “Submit profile” you will receive an email that confirms that you have started your application for that specific job. The email will also have a link to your application should you wish to exit and resume your application at a later date. Once you have successfully applied to the position you will receive a confirmation message both in the application system, and to your email. Be sure to check your spam folder if you do not receive a confirmation notice.

I’ve applied for a job at Baffinland. When will I receive a response?

After a job posting has closed, our recruiting team reviews all candidates. Those selected for an interview will be contacted directly. If you were not contacted by one of our recruiters and the job posting is no longer on our website, another candidate has been selected for the position.

How can I get an update on the status of my application?

You can check the status of your application at any time by following the four steps below: 1. Under “Careers” click on “Job Openings” 2. Click on “Log Back In!” and enter your email and password and select “Login” 3. Under the “Submittal Status” header, you will see the status of your application and you will also be able to view the “Date of last update” 4. The status update proceeds in this order: “Applied from Career Site”, “Pre-Screening”, “Under Review”, and lastly it will either show “Job Offered” or “Offer Withdrawn”

I am currently living in Canada; am I eligible to work at Baffinland?

To be considered for a job at Baffinland you must be eligible to work in Canada. Visit the Government of Canada website for more information.

Does Baffinland complete any background checks?

We conduct background checks on all potential hires prior to sending them a formal offer. This includes reference, accreditation, and criminal record background checks.

Are there any training opportunities for Baffinland employees?
